& Not Syncing; How do I resync it.png

A PS5 controller will blink blue when there is a syncing problem between the console and the controller. The Router’s band interference with the wireless signals of the controller or an outdated firmware of the controller can cause issues in the connection.

There are instances where the controller starts to blink blue but will still work, while in other cases, the controller stops working. In some cases, the controller switches off after flashing blue for some time.

Before starting the troubleshooting process,

1. Restart the PS Console

The PS5 controller will keep on blinking blue if it is failing to sync with the console. This might have occurred if the input modules of the console are in an error state. Restarting the PS console will solve the problem as it will reinitialize all the modules.

Put in the Rest Mode

  1. Press the power button of the console to put it into the rest mode.
  2. Wake up the console from the reset mode and check if the controller issue is resolved.
  3. If the problem persists, put the console in rest mode again but this time, wake it up by pressing the PS button.

Force Restart the PS5

  1. If the issue persists, press and hold the power button of the console till it beeps. This force restarts the console completely.
  2. Upon restart, check if the controller is working.

Perform a Cold Restart of the PS5

  1. If the problem continues, power off the console and unplug its power cable.
  2. Wait for a minute and plug back the power cable.
  3. Power on the console and check if the controller’s blinking blue problem is cleared.

Boot the PS5 into the Safe Mode
